Years later, Meadow and Bear remain best friends, despite Meadow marrying and divorcing Bear’s brother Heath. Yet she’s sure there’s no chance they’ll be anything more.

What Meadow doesn’t know is that Bear has only ever loved one woman too. He was heartbroken when Meadow married Heath, certain she chose his brother over him. But there’s more to Meadow and Heath’s marriage than anyone knows...

With both Meadow and Bear convinced they can only ever be friends they set one another a dating challenge – will they meet their perfect match online, as Bear thinks, or in person at a dating event, like Meadow believes? My Review:

I will always abandon my TBR mountain to read a Holly Martin book first. Never failing to provide us with fantastic characters, brilliant locations and storylines that warm the heart and soul. You may tell I am a big fan of hers, every ‘series’ seems to top the last in which will be my favourite (it’s genuinely hard to pick though!) and ‘The Wisteria Tree Cottage’ is firmly up there with the greats.

Bear and Meadow are characters we came to know and love in ‘ The Blossom Tree of Dreams.’  Although you can read this book as a standalone, I do recommend reading the first – just because it is a lovely story!

We already know these two characters have feelings for each other but for various reasons don’t feel they can act upon them so it was great to see how Holly would actually create their story and allow us to see if they’d get together.

I wasn’t expecting it to be smooth sailing, and it isn’t at all – cue misunderstandings, drama, online dates and connections. There are some very sweet moments, coupled with comedy – I couldn’t stop chuckling at some of the antics and thought Meadow was great for giving things a go.

It was nice to hear more from Meadows daughter Star, who is intent on catching the antics of the wildlife nearby, especially when a wolf may be on the prowl!

I loved catching up with this great group of characters, and I am really looking forward to the next visit. The setting couldn’t be more dreamy if Holly tried; I wish I could take a trip.

A perfect read, especially if you will be relaxing by the pool or on the beach. I cannot recommend this enough.

Thank you to Holly for the opportunity to read and review.

The Blossom Tree of Dreams - Holly Martin

Welcome to the wonderful Wishing Wood, where incredible treehouses twinkle under a blanket of stars, the sea sparkles through the leaves, and true love is in the air. From the bestselling author of Sunlight over Crystal Sands comes this gorgeously romantic tale.

Indigo Bloom is on her way to beautiful Wishing Wood with some very big news. Two months ago she shared an incredible night with the most amazing man. She didn’t think she’d ever see River Brookfield again, but she never imagined she’d be showing up out of the blue to tell him she’s pregnant with his child.

Indigo’s heart longs for a fairytale ending. There’s just one problem: River doesn’t remember who Indigo is…

Crushed that a night that meant so much to her was so forgettable for him, Indigo resolves to keep her identity and her pregnancy secret until she gets to know the real River. But as they spend more time together, it’s clear that the incredible connection they shared that first night is stronger than ever, and that River might remember more than Indigo first thought.

The closer they get, Indigo’s secret becomes harder to share. Can Indigo find the courage to tell River the truth? And if she does, will she get the fairytale ending she’s been dreaming of?

Make all your dreams come true this summer with this feel-good love story that will sweep you off your feet. It’s the perfect read for fans of Jill Mansell, Sarah Morgan and Sue Moorcroft,

My Review:

Holly Martin is one of the absolute best at creating fantastic settings and locations as well as characters we take to heart. I am always hooked from the start and find myself engrossed in the story, unable to put it down and this is no exception.

I am so happy this is the start of a new series because I am desperate to get to know more of the characters in more depth.

Indigo is quite the leading lady; I LOVED her! One of my favourites so far I think. She finds herself in an unexpected situation and follows her gut, hoping someone remembers her just as much as she remembers him.

River (SWOON) along with his brothers has created a special, very unique treehouse resort and has ensured they are surrounded by people who love and want to support him. It’s an eclectic cast of characters but they compliment each other providing humour along the way.

The thought of a treehouse getaway really made me wish I could visit, it sounded enchanting; I’m sure everyone who reads this will feel the same.

Look out for the character you will love to hate, a truly despicable person who claimed to be a “friend.” Indigo doesn’t need people life her in her life, I just kept hoping she would see sense

This is a wonderful start to the series, well written with humour, charm and romance. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book.

Thank you to Holly for the chance to read and review.

Mistletoe at Moonstone Lake - Holly Martin

Escape to the breathtaking Cornish Coast this winter, where the ocean sparkles in the moonlight and romance crackles like an open fire. This gorgeous new love story by Holly Martin, bestselling author of Sunlight Over Crystal Sands, is the perfect treat to warm your heart this Christmas.

Artist Zoey Flynn hadn’t planned to spend her favourite holiday on the shores of Jewel Island, but when her fiancĂ© breaks off their engagement before their Christmas Eve wedding, this Cornish paradise is just the distraction she needs.

With a cosy cottage to call home for a month and a stall at the island’s famous Christmas market to sell her paintings, Zoey quickly puts her heartbreak behind her. Love is the last thing on her mind. That is until the handsome Kit Lewis crosses her path…

Their connection is instant, but Zoey has a secret. And the deeper she and Kit fall for one another, the harder it is to hide. Kit knows Zoey is holding something back and if she won’t tell him the truth she could lose him forever.

Is keeping a promise from the past worth sacrificing a future with the man she loves? Or might Kit be the one person she can trust?

Love, laughter and long-hidden secrets are waiting for you on stunning Jewel Island. For fans of Jill Mansell, Sarah Morgan and Sue Moorcroft, this is the perfect tale to curl up with this Christmas.

My Review:

Holly Martin is one of my favourites all through the year but there is something extra lovely about her festive reads. Mistletoe at Moonstone Lake gave me all the wonderful, Christmas warm and fuzzies so get cosy and enjoy.

I’d happily live on Jewel Island at the best of times, but this Christmas Market sounds right up my street. I instantly imagined the sounds, smells and sights, I could picture the people milling around each seller, enjoying Kit’s tasty delights, and grabbing those festive gifts. Jewel Island events always sound amazing, and this is no exception.

Main characters – Zoey and Kit are instant favourites for me. I was a bit dubious about Zoey at first, she was keeping a secret and I hoped it wouldn’t be something terrible or too heart breaking, although you can start to connect the dots. I think this story emphasises how small a world we live it too – I was so surprised by the connection between the two.

There is instant chemistry between Kit and Zoey, and I loved how it developed. With all romances there are obstacles and bumps in the road but you are keen to see that they could overcome them.

This is a series I will never tire of reading about, you don’t have to have read the previous books but I do recommend them as they are great. Fans of the previous books set here will be happy that old favourites make cameos throughout.

I cannot recommend enough, treat yourself to some festive cheer!

Escape to sun drenched Jewel Island this summer where love, laughter and the thrill of adventure await. This gorgeous, romantic, feel-good read is perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella, Jill Mansell and Sue Moorcroft.

My Review:

I adore this series and the fourth visit to Jewel Island is fantastic. Holly Martin has given us yet another heartwarming, entertaining read. My only wish? That I could spend my holidays on Jewel Island and meet all these wonderful sounding characters!

Lyra has dreamed of living and working on Jewel Island since being a small girl. Now she has her chance, moving into a cottage on the island and starting work at the hotel – she is eager to get started but has a little time to explore the island and reminisce.

During this little adventure, she falls for the divine Nix, quite literally and ends up having quite the unexpected evening. A connection is evident for both and the chemistry is undeniable but, after an interesting night Lyra discovers Nix is no where to be seen.

There’s a whole lot more in store for Lyra, and as is Jewel Island style, things aren’t always as straight forward as they could be.

There are ups and downs, laughs and shenanigans but there are more heart wrenching, emotional moments that see island residents facing their past before they can move on. Lyra has to learn to let go, follow the adventure and seek her treasure, whatever that may be, because she does deserve it and is more than entitled to seek her own happiness.

Holly Martin never fails to deliver a story that has me engrossed from start to finish, with each visit we get to see how the lives of our previous reads are progressing. You could read this as a standalone though, but I highly recommend the rest of the series too.

I’m already excited about our next book.

Set sail to the Cornish coast where sunshine, laughter and romance awaits. This stunning love story is guaranteed to steal your heart this summer; it’s the perfect read for fans of Sarah Morgan, Veronica Henry and Jill Mansell.

My Review:

I am a big fan of Holly Martin and this book is another smash! An absolute pleasure to be back with sisters Skye, Aria and Clover. You may have read the previous two books about these ladies so will enjoy the catch up of familiar faces but please be assured you can read this as a standalone. Enough detail is included to bring you up to speed but not too much for those that have read to feel like it’s repetitive.
I couldn’t read this one fast enough, I always dive straight into any of Holly’s books without any waiting.

Hooked from the start, I didn’t want to put it down – especially this time with so many delicious sounding goodies making my mouth water.
Be transported to Emerald Cove; there is a nice gentle pace, but it is full of emotion and heart. You get ample enough drama met with heart warming and tender times. You will be rooting for the best for everyone. It’s a brilliant community feeling, I love catching up with Island life and wish I could go there myself.
Great characters, well written storylines, and an inviting setting, you don’t need anything more when you want to cosy up with a fantastic read.

I hope we get to visit the Island again soon…

Autumn Skies over Ruby Falls - Holly Martin

Get swept away to the sparkling Cornish coast with the stunning new novel from bestselling author Holly Martin. Autumn Skies Over Ruby Falls is the perfect romantic treat to snuggle up with this autumn.

Clover Philips is exactly where she’s meant to be – back home on Jewel Island teaching dance to the guests at the beautiful Sapphire Bay Hotel that she co-owns with her sisters Skye and Aria. Her life is complete, except for one thing…

When Clover left London she also left behind a devastating betrayal. She hasn’t been able to date anyone since, let alone allow herself to fall in love. What she needs is a casual fling to ease herself back into romance. And as luck would have it, the very handsome Angel Mazzeo is back in town.

The chemistry between Clover and Angel has been undeniable ever since Angel first arrived on Jewel Island six months ago. And though content to be her friend till now, Angel is more than willing to help Clover find her dating feet again.

It should be easy to keep things carefree when love is off the table, but when every moment is magical what started as casual soon becomes something much deeper. Will Clover and Angel find the courage to tell each other how they really feel? And is Clover ready to do the one thing she swore she’d never do again, fall in love?

My Review:
A complete joy to be on Jewel Island again, especially at the Sapphire Bay hotel. I enjoyed meeting the characters previously and was happy that this time we focus more on Clover. The setting sounds absolutely stunning, I wish we could take a holiday right here!
Clover co-owns the hotel with her sisters and is now back on the island teaching some dance classes. She is a loveable character and we know she has been badly treated by an ex, which has left her damaged and reluctant to trust again especially romantically.
We do, however, know she really likes a certain someone and that its entirely possible the feeling is mutual. Angel is full of wanderlust, loving to travel and see as much as the world as he possible can, he doesn’t tend to commit which sounds ideal to Clover when the sparks start flying between the pair. Angel knows her history and is perfect – he is patient, caring, understanding and just dreamy if you ask me.
Holly Martin gives us the romance, to warm and fuzzies but also a bit of drama to add some excitement. I love all Holly Martin books, they are wonderful and charming, with characters you get to understand and take to your heart.
We see Clover really come into her own in this book, she understands herself and her feelings and allows herself to be open to change. I didn’t necessarily bank on the happy ending or fairy-tale romance ending for this one (although hoped for it because Angel sounds perfect) but I think the most important part of this story was how she learned to trust again.
You can read this as a standalone but please treat yourself to all of Holly’s books too, never disappoints and perfect for snuggling up to read.

#BLOGTOUR - The Gift of Happiness by Holly Martin

Available Here

Christmas has arrived in the little village of Happiness, promising snowflakes, hot chocolate and plenty of seasonal romance. So snuggle up and fall in love with the gorgeously cosy new story from the bestselling author of Christmas at Lilac Cottage…

My Review:

One of the things that makes me really happy is snuggling up with a good book by one of my favourite authors. Holly Martin has given us wonderful stories and so many lovable settings and characters that  I was beside myself to be returning to the village of Happiness.

I loved discovering the fantastic community in Holly’s previous book – The Little Village of Happiness – and couldn’t wait to catch up with some of the characters I’d grown to love previously as well as getting the chance to discover more about Ruby.

We had already met Ruby, as she is Willows best friend who came to visit but now, she is opening her own Christmas decoration shop and moving to Happiness herself. I love the sense of community that has been created in Happiness, I just wish I could live there– everyone sounds kind, caring and they always get up to so much fun. I also love the gossip that builds about Ruby and Jacob it isn’t malicious (mostly) but their own way people are just trying to be encouraging and supportive, wanting the best for them both.

Ruby and Jacob has a brief ‘liaison’ in the previous book and its quite easy to see the chemistry and attraction is still there on both sides, but we discover why Ruby doesn’t ever want to commit and it appears pretty unlikely this partnership would ever be anything ‘proper.’. It’s an unexpected and painful experience that leaves Ruby unwilling to be with Jacob and I can fully understand her reluctance to ever bond deeply with Jacob. They do have an incredible spark, which means they develop a good bond, a solid friendship and although both have stronger desires, Jacob realises he must be patient if he ever stands a chance of having anything more.

This is full of festive frolics, but it isn’t your typical feel-good, romantic festive delight; it contains some deep and sensitive topics that I felt were addressed carefully and portrayed very realistically. I resonated with the character of Ruby, she is one I took to my heart immediately and although I adore Willow, Ruby will continue to be very special. I hope we will return to Happiness in the future.
Holly Martin has given us an amazing escape yet again, so enjoy, relax and treat yourself to this wonderful read.

Thank you to the author for a copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Check out the rest of the blog tour!

BLOGTOUR: The Little Village of Happiness - Holly Martin

AVAILABLE HERE
About:

Willow McKay needs a fresh start. Her recent break-up may not have left her heartbroken but it’s certainly wounded her pride. Desperate to escape the whispers and stares of her town’s gossips, an advert offering homes in a picturesque village in the grounds of a majestic castle on the Cornish coast sounds like just what she needs. Without thinking twice Willow applies for a cottage and packs up her life for the village of Happiness.

But when Willow arrives she finds a crumbling ruin and ramshackle cottages, nothing like the pretty picture the advert had boasted. It seems Happiness was too good to be true. That is until she meets the incredibly handsome estate manager Andrew Harrington…

His passion for restoring the village to its former glory is contagious and soon they are working together to bring happiness back to Happiness. And as sparks fly between them Willow can feel herself falling. But Andrew is holding something back.

Can Willow risk her heart again? And will they succeed in transforming the old village to its original beauty before it’s too late?

My Review:

Holly Martin has given us such a wonderful treat with this book – a lovely, summer read that will leave you wanting more. I smiled all the way through, it is SUCH  an aptly name book. Isn’t Happiness the most perfect village name – all you can imagine is everyone being lovely, kind and full of smiles.
I love the characters that Holly writes. Willow is my kind of girl, following her instincts and relocating on a whim. She finds that all may not be as it seems in the village she’d seen advertised. She soon settles in and makes her mark on the community – it more ways than one. She’s confident, lively and not afraid to get stuck in, I really like that.

When she meets hottest village handyman, you’ll come across then you just now it won’t be long until she lets love into her heart – their chemistry is instant, and they make a great pair.
There is so much more to Andrew than you first realise, and I think Holly has written about this fantastically. It added that little bit more to an already great story.

I enjoyed how they worked to get the village ready for the open day, the way the community joined together to make it as great as it sounds on paper. I LOVED the Secret Gifting Society as it was such fun to see who would get what gift next.

This book has an overriding feeling of wonderful community spirit, welcoming new additions and making them feel like they belong. It’s more than just your typical summer rom com read. Full of humour, romance and characters you will be keen to learn more about too. I was hooked from the moment I started and just couldn’t put it down.

This book will leave you wanting more – the village is an untapped source of many, many stories. I am so excited that there will be another, ‘The Gift of Happiness’ later in the year.

I highly recommend this book; it will leave you smiling for sure.
